Mary Ann Plumley was born in Corsicana, Texas but grew up in Houston and calls that her hometown.

After finishing school, Mary Ann lived in South America while her husband taught pipe fabrication. Once she returned to the states, she opened her own sales and logistics company. While operating that business, she was a member of the International Women in Business and the NFIB (National Federation of Independent Business). Mary Ann was one of only 4 women in the United States in this field of sales at the time.

Mary Ann has always been sales and customer service oriented. While working for AT&T Mobility for over 12 years, her field of specialization was in operations and audit compliance. Finishing out her time with AT&T over two stores in Denver, Colorado.

Currently, she has not retired and is working for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in the Texas Correctional Industries division. Her responsibilities revolve around our state agencies, the House and Senate members.

She has served as Rotary Club President. Past Chamber of Commerce board of directors and former city councilwoman for a city in the Hill Country. Mary Ann has lived in the Texas Hill Country since 2009 and has been a resident of Burnet, Texas for the last 3 years. She and her husband Bill have 4 children and 8 grandchildren.
