David Timmerman

David Timmerman joined TSHL in 2021.  He holds a double Master’s degree in Music Performance and Music Education from Southern Methodist University.  His undergraduate degree in music is from SUNY Potsdam, Crane School of Music.  His career in music education spanned 40 years.  He served as Director of Choral Activities at Sherman HS, South Grand Prairie HS, Corsicana HS, and Navarro College.  He has produced/directed over 50 Broadway musicals with high school, college, and community groups.

David has served as President of the Palace Board of Directors in Corsicana and as a member of the Warehouse Living Arts Center (community theater) in Corsicana and the Trinity Star Arts Council in Freestone County.  David is active in his church, St. John’s Episcopal in Corsicana and sings in the choir and has served on the Vestry.

David and his wife, Linda – also a member of TSHL – live on Richland Chambers Lake in Freestone County where David enjoys gardening and woodworking.  The Timmermans have 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and a very spoiled Golden Retriever named Ranger.
