This is my first year being associated with the Texas Silver Haired Legislature and I am looking forward to the challenges of dealing with the older Texan population needs.

I was born in south eastern Pennsylvania in 1934. After a very uneventful seventeen years I join the United States Air Force and began a very robust education in Flight Simulation and Air Crew Training. During my 20+ years as a Flight Simulation Specialist I retired as a Master Sargent (M/Sgt) and entered a career of Simulation in the Commercial Airline industry. Upon retirement from the USAF I immediately began a six year period with the American Airlines (A/A) Flight Training facility, Fort Worth Texas.  I completed Associate Degrees in Mid-Management and Data Processing from the Tarrant County College North East Campus and a B.S. Degree in Industry and Technology from Texas A&M, Commerce, Texas.

Upon completion of my college training, I moved to Braniff International (BI) Airways as Manager of Flight Simulation and Visual Systems. Completed several months of Factory training in England. Upon Braniff’s bankruptcy I relocated to Ridgecrest Ca.

I joined COMARCO, INC. at China Lake Naval Weapons Center, Ridgecrest, Ca. as a Project Manager for the development of the Navy/Marines AV-8B Flight Simulation along with aircraft designers at the MacDonald Aircraft Company to create Simulation designed to train pilots in the aircraft operation.

As Program Manager of the software updates for the NASA Lunar landing module from Machine Language Software to FORTRAN-4 Software. Completed the program in two years at NASA Houston.

COMARCO’s Navy contract ended with COMPUTER SCIENCES COORPORATION (CSC) being awarded the follow-on contract to provide Software, Program Documentation and Quality Assurance for the Navy Air Borne Systems. While employed with CSC as a program Manager I attended the following special training in addition to normal management tasks. 1. R & D Program Management, 2. Software Certification Institute, 3. Quality Improvement Management College, 4. Project Management Training Program.

BOEING COMPUTER SUPPORT SERVICES (BCSS) won the follow-on contract and continued to support the Naval Weapons Center, I remained on staff as a Manager of Organization Training and Quality Assurance. While performing on this contract I attended the following training programs in support of BCSS activities, 1. Project Management and Contract Administration and Control, 2. Just in Time Project Management, 3. ISO9000 Quality Program, 4. Boeing World Class System Master Coach for Continuous Improvement Process and Statical Process Control, 5. ADA based Design Approach for real time Systems (ADARTS) Software Productivity.

Retired in 1995 and for the next eleven years as a volunteer Instructor in Senior Computers at Tarrant County College for Senior computer operation/ familiarization. Providing seniors with the knowledge of the new computer functions that were useful and needed by them.
