I am looking forward to serving the senior citizens within the state of Texas. I believe to become an effective leader you must apply the principles within your own personal life of leading by example. My goal is to continue in my quest of making an impact for social change in our every changing world providing support through advocacy.

Felicia Holland is currently the Aging In Place Coordinator for the Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity serving the Senior Community in (5) counties in Central Texas. She originally became employed with the agency in 2019 as an AmeriCorps Member Veterans Outreach Coordinator. She has resided and worked in (5) states, Maryland, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Texas. She has 30+ years of experience and education which has led to a diverse background, whose common thread is a strong “people” orientation and a knack for leadership. She can interact easily and dynamically with diverse groups of people, forging unified teams and performing functions such as training, leadership, supervision and ensuring policy and procedure compliance. She has held several leadership positions within faith-based communities. Conference presenter for Maryland Head Start, South Carolina Adult Education and Florida Family Childcare Home Association and the U.S Department of Health & Human Services Administration Children & Family Services Birth to Three Institute Baltimore Maryland. She is also a previous member of Maryland Head Start Association Governing Board and member Historian of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Baltimore Maryland. She has been an Advocate for Individuals with Intellectual & Developmental disabilities for over 30+ years & served as a special Olympics sports coach.

Employed for several years as Md State/Baltimore City Social worker/Trainer and GED Instructor Program Manager and Director in varied community programs. She holds multiple certificates in various educational disciplines. Experiences with mass media -radio/ television interviews and articles listing her program successes.
