I served in the US Army from 1970 until 1993.  Enlisted from 7 ½ years.  Rose from E-1 to E-6.  I spent three and one-half years deployed overseas to Germany.  During this time, I earned an Associate’s degree.

In 1977, I attended Officer Candidate School and rose to the rank of Major.  I had a dual-tracked career, first as Air Defense Artillery officer and then a tactical Chemical Officer.  I spent four years in Germany.  During this time, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.  I deployed for Operation Desert Shield.

After the Army, I worked for an Army defense contractor company from 1993 to 2015.  I began as individual contributor and worked up to Senior Operations Manager.  I deployed with the Army to Iraq in 2003 – Operation Iraqi Freedom.  I had two additional trips to Kuwait and three to South Korea.
